Hungarian secret services equipped to combat terror
"Hungarian secret service bodies maintain close contacts with their foreign counterparts and have access to all relevant information," secret services spokesman Péter Vajda told Magyar Hírlap yesterday.
Vajda made his statement after several foreign television networks reported that terrorist group al-Qaeda is in all probability planning attacks on European rail and air services during the Christmas holidays. Vajda stressed that contacts are live between the national security groups.
