The National Gypsy Government (OCÖ) is planning to create a center for information and culture, as well as a higher education scholarship system, reports FigyelőNet. During discussions of plans for next year, president Orbán Kolompár said that more emphasis would be placed on better informing minority governments and the Roma people in 2008. For this reason the OCÖ's building located on Budapest's Dohány utca will be equipped with a TV studio and Internet room linked to all Gypsy minority governments.

Kolompár said that the studio would create documentaries of sessions of the body, negotiations with ministries and events, and forward them to a national television station, which would air them once a week. The OCÖ has allocated Ft 20 million (roughly €80,000) for this purpose, has contacted television stations and expects the program to start in spring.

The OCÖ also plans to launch a higher education scholarship program that would support Roma youth after they receive their degrees. In addition, the OCÖ will revamp its website and change the format of its monthly publication, Világunk (Our World), which will be a shorter news magazine published twice a month from January.
