The Jobbik Magyarországért Mozgalom (Movement for a Better Hungary) is organising a demonstration during a gay pride procession this weekend, Jobbik activists announced outside the Szivárvány Misszió Alapítvány (Rainbow Mission Foundation) on Monday.

Meanwhile Szabad Magyarországért Mozgalom (Movement for a Free Hungary) called for the procession to be outlawed, calling it “an offence to public morality” in an application submitted to Budapest Police. However, the event’'s organisers have already agreed a new route for the procession with the police.

Data privacy ombudsman Attila Péterfalvi warned against taking photographs of those at the event “as such photos contain information on the sexual identity of the participants,” and thus could lead to a potential abuse of data.
