Hungarian PM outraged by far-right paramilitary group
Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány vowed that he will endeavour to curb the views represented by Jobbik and Magyar Gárda.
Speaking to the media in Pécs, south Hungary, Gyurcsány said "the creation of the Magyar Gárda is irreconcilable with European democratic traditions." He added that "the rise of the far-right shames Hungary, and the whole right wing." Some 25 to 30 demonstrators brought placards and shouted for Gyurcsány's resignation outside Pécs mayor's office.
