Hungarian mothers protest for better public transport
Young mothers will demonstrate today in Budapest, drawing attention to the difficulties they encounter when using public transportation, writes hirtv.hu.
As Klára Bíbor, one of the organizers told HírTV, the mothers will travel from Erzsébet tér to Szent István Park by public transport, carrying their baby-strollers. The special needs of mothers with strollers are the same as those who are in wheelchairs, she added, before continuing that these needs should be taken into consideration in the development of the city and its transportation.
This demonstration is a sequel to the Baby-Stroller Shock, held in May, when about 30 young mothers met in public places, and submitted a petition to the mayor.
