Hungarian flu vaccine said effective
The Hungarian vaccine has proved effective against the A/H1N1 virus, Laszlo Bujdoso, head of the National Pandemic Committee announced on Thursday.
Bujdoso said that the required clinical tests had been completed and that the permits to distribute the vaccine were expected to be obtained by early next week.
In the first phase of a national inoculation programme, the vaccine will be given to people with chronic diseases, pregnant women, healthcare staff, members of the armed forces and employees of strategic companies.
