Electricity workers plan a two-hour warning strike on April 3, preceded by demonstrations in front of the German and French Embassies, the privatisation agency ÁPV and the German and French parent companies of Hungarian electricity distributors.

No wage agreement has been reached yet, although the collective employment contract states that agreement should have been reached by January 31. The union wants an 8-10% wage increase, while the association of electricity employers favours 5.5%.
