Hungarian drug enforcement officer receives international award
A Hungarian drug enforcement officer has received a prestigious award given by the U.S.-based International Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association (INEOA), was told MTI on Tuesday.
György Popper, who is president of the Budapest-headquartered International Body Guard and Security Services Association (IBSSA), received the honour for his active work in extending INEOA's operation on the European continent.
As a result of Popper's work more and more law enforcement officials from European countries have joined the INEOA.
Their work has become crucial ever since the appearance of synthetic drugs-related crimes on the continent as borders have become more permeable.
This is the first time that a European officer has received the award, which was presented to Popper by INEOA President Stephen F. Minger at a ceremony in Orlando on Monday.
