Hundreds stranded abroad as Hungarian tour operator goes under
Hundreds of clients of Hungarian travel agency Karya Tour were stuck abroad last week after the Hungarian Trade Licensing Office withdrew the company's permits.
According to hvg.hu, 500 of the company's clients were left in Turkey, and 50 in Egypt.
Happily, the company's insurance policies are said to have enough coverage to allow for the transporting of the stranded travelers, as well as compensation of several hundred clients who had booked later trips.
