Health Minister announces Ft 300-500 visit fees
The government will set a fee of Ft 300-500 for visits to doctors, Health Minister Lajos Molnár said yesterday. Speaking on MTV's 'Nap-kelte' Monday morning show, he said no decision has yet been made on when to introduce the fees.
Once feasibility studies have been completed, the government will release the whole issue for a debate in society, the Free Democrat minister added. He said he will consult patients' organisations as well as political parties
The needy, those on low pensions, families with many children or those suffering from illnesses which compel them to visit doctors often could be compensated, Molnár remarked.
