H1N1 epidemic slowing down in Hungary
The number of H1N1 cases rose relatively slowly last week, with 42,900 people consulting doctors, 6% more than two weeks earlier, Health Minister Tamás Székely told Parliament's health committee yesterday.
There have been 25 deaths that can be related to the H1N1 virus. An estimated 22% of the population have been inoculated against the virus, Székely said.
An 80-year-old man who was being treated for other diseases apparently died of the H1N1 virus in Szeged on Sunday. His was the 25th fatality linked to the virus.
