Gucci to open store in Budapest
The Italian fashion powerhouse Gucci has solidified plans to open its first store in Hungary, having registered a local subsidiary in the middle of last month, reports Népszabadság. The daily writes that the papers indicate the company will open its own store - as opposed to a franchise - in Budapest.
The Florence-based company earlier said it would open a store in Hungary next year. While Gucci has not revealed any other details on its plans in Hungary, it is expected that the store will be on Andrássy út, which has recently become a destination for luxury retailers following the opening of a large Louis Vuitton outlet next to the Hungarian State Opera.
According to company papers, the managing director of Gucci Magyarország Kft is Luigi Gajo, who is currently the financial director of Gucci S.p.A.
