Government to expand public surveillance
Hungary's government plans to expand the state's legal scope to employ CCTV and other systems to monitor and record events in public areas, the government spokesman said on Friday.
The government discussed the new concept at its session on Wednesday and the related bill it is expected to go before parliament in the autumn, David Daroczi said in an online press conference.
Public security services will also be authorised to tow parking cars that obstruct traffic, he added.
