Government clears last hurdles to US visa waiver
Hungary's government has approved the last in a series of agreements needed to clear the way for visa-free travel for Hungarian citizens visiting the United States, ministry official Marta Fekszi Horvath said on Wednesday.
The document on data exchange is ready for signing early next week, after which the document can go before Parliament, she added.
Hungary will not have to provide personal details of its citizens, such as sexual orientation, political affiliation or union membership, as part of a deal on data exchange on suspected terrorists with the US, Fekszi Horvath said.
