A 13-year-old girl demonstrators believed to have died due to respiratory complications caused by tear gas grenades on October 23 is in fact alive and healthy, reports hirtv.hu.

It has meanwhile been uncovered that the father of the girl received Ft 300,000 (€1,170) worth of aid for the burial from his employer, and hasn't been seen since. He is now under investigation for embezzlement.

The man's partner told investigators that her and the suspect indeed have a 13-year-old child, but she is healthy and in school.
