Wearing apparel made from organic materials is one of the hottest new international trends among environment-conscious celebrities and shoppers. While these products can be harder to find in Hungary than in Western countries, it is not impossible, according to lifestyle portal borsa.hu.

In addition to multinational clothing chains Timberland, Jackpot, Marks & Spencer, H&M, C&A, Adidas and Nike, which offer some organic apparel, Hungarian distributor Mollys only sells clothing and other products made from organic cotton, bamboo and wool. Their products are available at their Dessewffy utca store on weekdays, the Csörsz utca organic market on Saturdays and their webshop at biopamut.hu.

There are also stores in Budapest which sell clothing and accessories made from recycled materials. The group Balkantango offers bags and wallets made from used bicycle tires and plastic advertising sheets, accessories made from bakelite, and T-shirts made from natural materials. Their products are available at several Budapest stores, the list of which can be found on their website. One of these is Insitu, which sells products by young designers.
