Futuristic looking hotel planned for Budapest square
The winning plan for a five-story hotel to be built on Budapest's Clark Ádám tér (District I) was announced on October 24, reports ingatlanmagazin.hu. Designers Balázs Mórocz and Miklós Vannay of Stúdió Szász Kft. created plans for a futuristic-looking yellow building. Construction is expected to start in 2008.
The building will not only house a hotel but also offer wellness services, a roof restaurant & bar and shops. In addition, there are plans to build an underground garage below. The hotel's services will target young travelers.
The tender for plans had been announced by Unione-Clark Kft. The company's committee found the plans by Stúdió Szász Kft. capable of solving the given architectural situation, though some changes will be needed for it to fully provide its intended services.
