Fumes strike shopping mall again
Five more people became ill from inhaling exhaust fumes at the Allee shopping mall on Monday, one day after 16 people fell victim to a malfunctioning ventilation system. Three people were hospitalised for medical observation. Police launched an inquiry.
Retail chain Spar is suing the 11th District shopping mall for damages, as its employees have suffered from the fumes piped in from the parking garage on two consecutive days. Spar has mounted carbon-monoxide detectors on its premises.
