Ft 100bn for renewable energy projects in Hungary
The first tender documents for projects aimed at promoting the use of renewable energy will be announced in June or July, Andrea Grónai of the National Development Agency said.
Approximately Ft 100-110 billion in grants can be obtained from EU sources from 2007 until 2013. The money will be distributed evenly between the New Hungary Development Plan and the New Hungary Regional Development Plan.
The conditions will be more stringent than in earlier tenders. For New Hungary Development Plan projects, candidates must provide 70% of the finances. Projects aimed at promoting the use of biogas and biofuel will be given priority.
