Four arrested after demonstrations in Budapest
Criminal procedures have been launched against the four people arrested during disturbances following LIGA Trade Unions demonstration, writes inforadio.hu.
Budapest police spokesperson Éva Tafferner announced that one person is being charged for violence against authorities as he fired lead bullets at policemen from a slingshot. The other three people are charged for non-compliance with police orders. She added that a person wanted for theft had also been arrested during routine identity checks. After the demonstration, 300-400 protesters were forced out from the area of Kossuth tér, knocking over garbage cans, kicking cars, and throwing torches, squibs and stones at policemen.
