Formula 1 "rally" in downtown Budapest
McLaren's Jenson Button to demonstrate car in run between Parliament, Basilica
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Jenson Button last year caused a stir in Hungary by wearing overalls with embroidery featuring typical patterns from Kalocsa.
British Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button will burn up the tarmac between Parliament and St Stephen's Basilica on May 1, the organisers of the event told MTI on Thursday.
The McLaren team driver will join rally, World Touring Car Championship and other motor sport drivers for the afternoon show, the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) and Vodafone Hungary said.
A Formula 1 "track" will snake through the heart of the city for the duration of the show running from April 28 until May 1, offering pundits a chance to sit in Formula 1 machines, quick-change tyres, meet drivers and get a 3D image taken of them as Formula 1 drivers.
