Former Hungarian prison officers implicated in bribery case
Several senior prison officers, two lawyers and one of the Interior Ministry's head doctors are involved in the biggest ever bribery case involving Hungary's correctional institutions, Kossuth Rádió quoted MTV News as reporting on Monday night.
The former prison officers granted visiting time priorities to inmates against kickbacks, while certain prisoners were accommodated in "VIP cells." Complaints were filed by inmates who could no longer afford to bribe the prison officers.
