Former Guantánamo inmate arrives in Hungary

The US has transferred an inmate of the Guantánamo Bay prison to Hungary. the White House announced on Tuesday. Washington thanked Hungary for receiving the former inmate, originally from the West Bank.

 

He was transported from Guantánamo on Monday night and is now in the hands of the Hungarian government.

 

The US did not reveal the identity of the prisoner at the request of the Hungarian government, for saecurity reasons.
