Food poisoning hits christening guests in SW Hungary
According to hirszerzo.hu, 25 people were hospitalized in Kaposvár (Somogy County) with symptoms of food poisoning after attending the same christening party on Monday.
The first patients started arriving during the day yesterday, and by evening extra beds were needed in the contagious diseases ward at the hospital.
Until laboratory test results are ready on Thursday, the exact causes of the stomach pains and diarrhea suffered by the patients remains unclear.
The party, which was attended by some 300 guests, served food from a local restaurant.
