Fidesz-owned youth centre bans far-right Magyar Gárda
The Fidesz-run, local authority-owned Győr youth centre barred a Magyar Gárda recruitment drive yesterday, prompting organisers to invite supporters to Tó restaurant instead. Jobbik chairman Gábor Vona said he is pleased with the interest shown by the media, as it has unwittingly advertised them to the tune of at least Ft 100 million.
Local residents organised a peaceful protest against the Gárda outside Győr theatre. Both events drew around 200 people.
