European Jewish Congress puts anti-Semitism in Hungary on agenda
The European Jewish Congress's executive board has put the Hungarian anti-Semitism high on its agenda at its meeting in Geneva on Thursday, the managing director of the Jewish Communities in Hungary (Mazsihisz) told MTI by telephone.
Gusztav Zoltai said that Mazsihisz chairman Peter Feldmajer in his speech at the meeting said that not the parliamentary parties, but an extremist party is responsible for the aggravating situation in Hungary, and primarily its MEP Krisztina Morvai.
Feldmajer also said that the "situation is grave and dangerous in Hungary also because Krisztina Morvai is a tutor at the Law Faculty of the Eotvos Lorand University, where the judges of the future are trained". Morvai's statements are "extremist and fascistoid", and resemble the 1940s, Zoltai quoted Feldmajer as saying.
