Environmentalists save sixth district trees
The Municipal Court yesterday revoked a permit to fell trees in Jókai tér, in the Sixth District, declaring it illegal. The Court upheld a complaint by environmentalists Védegylet and four local residents against plans to build an underground garage below the square.
The ruling is final and the defendants the builder, the Budapest Public Administration Office and the Sixth District have no leave to appeal.
