Elderly motorcyclist dies after being hit twice
An elderly man died Sunday night following a motorcycle accident in which he was hit by two cars, reports hirado.hu.
The 71-year-old man from Apostag (Bács-Kiskun County) was riding a Simson type motorbike on Route 51 when he was hit by an Opel driven by a 39-year-old woman, after failing to give the car the right of way in an intersection.
Following the collision, the motorbike was swept in the way of oncoming traffic, and was hit for a second time by a Volkswagen.
The man suffered serious injuries in the double accident, and died on the scene. The passengers of the cars were not injured. Police are still investigating details of the tragedy.
