Driving license of Hungarian diplomat revoked in Austria
The driving license of state secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture (Földművelésügyi és Vidékfejlesztési Minisztérium, FVM) Ferenc Sirman was temporarily revoked yesterday in Austria for speeding, writes hirextra.hu.
Sirman was driving at a speed of 171 km/h on a highway near Graz where the speed limit was 100 km/h, and admitted to driving too fast once he was pulled over by Austrian police. After paying the €330 fine at the Graz police office, he will have his license returned to him.
As the ministry said, Sirman apologizes for what happened, and "on the good-quality motorway, with the quiet Sunday morning traffic he did not notice that he was above the speed limit".
