The Lelenc Dog Rescue Association will organize an adoption day on Saturday, September 29 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the animal health station of the Budapest Public Area Supervisory Body (IX, Illatos út 23/a).

Around 100 dogs will be available for adoption, and the new owners will receive a package of dog food, a leash and a collar. All dogs have been vaccinated and implanted with a microchip. A gallery with additional information about dogs awaiting new owners can be found at the illatosut.hu website.

The following day, the association will hold vigil at the Árpád híd metro station to remember a small dog that was recently thrown out of a window by its owner on nearby Teve utca. Organizers wish to raise awareness of the growing number of animal torture cases. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
