Doctor refuses to treat police lieutenant
A doctor at the János Hospital refused to treat an injured police lieutenant on October 27, citing considerations of conscience. Police have initiated proceedings against the surgeon on a charge of failure to provide medical treatment.
The doctor told the policeman that he must have spent a lot of time chasing protesters to have such an injury, adding that it would heal itself. He then refused to provide medical treatment on grounds of conscience. Another doctor treated the burn injury on the policeman's leg.
