Budapest's District IV local council has asked the Supreme Court to review a decision by the Budapest Municipal Court in a case it brought against music festival organiser Sziget Kulturalis Menedzser Iroda for disturbing the peace, Sziget owner econet.hu said late Wednesday.

Sziget earlier won the case brought against it by the local council, and the Budapest Municipal Court rejected an appeal of the decision in November 2009.

Sziget organises Hungary's biggest summer music festival, held on an island across the Danube from District IV.

Econet.hu owns 26pc of Sziget, but earlier agreed to raise its stake in the company to 75pc by 2013.
