The Hungarian National Committee 2006 has received a green light from the police to hold their planned human chain demonstration around Parliament, reports ma.hu. The date of the event has been set for December 11.
"The human chain can go ahead, the police have agreed to it," said committee deputy chair László Gonda, adding that demonstrators will not restrict the movement of MPs.
Gonda also explained that demonstrators must stay outside the security cordon, cannot disturb traffic, must keep gates clear, and are not allowed on the Danube side of the Parliament.
The December 11 demonstration will take between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., and 4,000 participants are expected.
