Deadly nuclear material to be transported through Hungary
Deadly reserves from the nuclear research center near Belgrade will probably be transported to Russia through Hungary by rail, writes fn.hu, based on a report in Lánchíd Rádió.
The material, stored in 8,000 aluminium cylinders stored in 6-meter-deep water, is enough to produce 40 kg of pure uranium, and releases so much radiation that it cannot even be guarded. Thieves are not likely to go near it either, as approaching it is likely to result in death within an hour.
Official sources state that the material is already being loaded for transport.
