Hungarian entrepreneurs are ready to resurrect another legendary motorcycle brand, the Danuvia, reports Népszabadság. Other entrepreneurs announced last year that they would restart the manufacturing of Pannónia motorcycles after more than three decades.

The new Danuvia model is being developed by Danuvia Motor Craft Kft. The brake system, the chassis and the running gear, which includes the company's own-developed fork, have been completed.

The exhaust system, which was also developed by Danuvia Motor Craft, is equipped with a catalytic converter and meets environmental protection regulations. The company developed a performance enhancing system as well for racing purposes.

At the peak of their popularity in the 1960s, 100 Danuvia motorcycles were manufactured every day, a total of 157,000. They were sold in central and eastern Europe as well as in the UK, the US and Canada under the name "White."
