Dangerous air pipes found at Budapest hospital
According to PanGas Hungária Kft., the company supervising systems for administrating patients with oxygen and other gases in hospitals, the compressed air pipes at Szent János Kórház are dangerous to health, writes Népszabadság.
As stop.hu writes, the supervision report states that none of the air pipe centers meet minimal safety requirements. The compressed air is polluted with oil to an extent that can endanger patients. The pipes are in a disastrous condition in almost all hospital wards.
Tibor Kázmér, Director-General of Szent János Kórház, denies that the patients are in danger and that the compressed air supplies were be dangerous. Csaba Horváth, deputy mayor of the district maintaining the hospital said that an investigation had been launched into the case.
