Customs agents seize 25 kilograms of heroin
Hungary's customs officials discovered and seized 25 kilograms of heroin in a trailer truck with German plates at Nagylak crossing station on the Romanian border, a spokesperson told MTI on Friday.
The vehicle was on its way from Turkey to the Netherlands, carrying cheese products, Eva Nemedi Varga said. She added that the drug, packed in 48 bags, was estimated to worth around 350 million forints (EUR 1.1m).
The driver, a Turkish national, has been detained.
