Budapest's Combino trams withheld during rallies
Combino trams are still not running in Budapest due to fears that they will be vandalized. The vehicles were withdrawn from service after the recent violent riots in the city. Prior to that, their operation was limited to after peak hours.
The Combinos will not run on the nagykörút, because of worries that they will be vandalized during or after this weekend's political rallies. They will probably resume operation again next week.
Budapest transport company BKV could not tell origo.hu when the Siemens trams will return to the streets.
