Budapest transport workers to hold strike Tuesday morning
Half of the buses and several trams serving Budapest's public transport will be affected by a strike by transport company BKV's workers on Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., reports hirado.hu.
The trade unions of the Cinkota Bus Garage and the Buda Fürst Bus Garage will hold a warning strike, union leaders Gábor Nemes and Pál Bartha announced. The reason for the strike is that no agreement could be reached with the management of the BKV on Monday over planned downsizing, deteriorating work conditions and eliminating routes.
