Budapest to host European Ideas Network summer university
Budapest will host a summer university by the European Ideas Network, a think-tank sponsored by the European People's Party group, on the fight against poverty and the global economic crisis in the second half of next week.
President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and EPP Chairman Wilfried Martens will be among speakers at the conference to take place between September 16 and 18, the EPP said.
A separate working group will focus on democratic transformation and modernisation in Central and Eastern Europe.
