Budapest security guards accused of kidnapping and rape
Five security guards are alleged to have kidnapped three women and raped one of them in Budapest's District XI on Tuesday evening, reported Nobert Farkas, spokesperson for the Budaörs Police Department Crime Division.
The guards were driving along Kőérberki út in a BMW sedan at around 1 a.m. and invited the women to come with them. After the women refused their offer, the men reappeared in a second car.
According to Farkas, one of the suspects then claimed he was a police officer and told the women that they were being taken into custody for 72 hours, after which the men then took the women to an industrial site. Two of the women were then allegedly forced into a trailer, while the third was tied, beaten and raped in a nearby shipping container. The group reportedly let the women leave after the incident.
The victims called the police from a nearby petrol station. The authorities arrived shortly thereafter and found the suspects still at the scene of the crime. One of them reportedly had a gas pistol license but no guns were found on the spot.
The suspects told police that the women were prostitutes but that they had rejected an offer of Ft 15,000 for their services. The men deny the allegations of violence.
The District XI Police are investigating the case.
