Out of 33 European cities in the Globe Shopper City Index, Budapest ranks tenth in terms of the best experience for international shopping tourists, Global Blue, which sponsors the index, said on Wednesday.
This puts Budapest ahead of Milan, Vienna and Moscow as the most favoured shopping destination, according to Global Blue.
London tops the list, followed by Madrid, Barcelona and Paris.
Budapest is favoured in the "price-level" category, receiving among the best scores, but the city also does well due to the availability of luxury hotel rooms at a competitive price, as well as the decent cost of food and drink.
