Budapest public transit workers to strike on Thursday
Budapest public transport workers will hold a strike from 4.30 am until 1 pm on Thursday, head of the strike committee Gabor Nemes told MTI on Monday.
Following a wave of strikes by airport and railway unions, BKV workers earlier said they would go on strike unless management provided plans to secure day-to-day operations at the cash-strapped company.
Nemes said the decision was taken after the employer failed to provide guarantees which would meet union demands.
