A new permanent exhibition entitled "Rome in Aquincum" was opened at the Budapest History Museum's Aquincum Museum (III, Szentendrei út 139) on Friday, reports klubradio.hu. The museum's new building was also inaugurated.

At the event, Education and Culture Minister István Hiller said that the "Rome in Aquincum" exhibition presents everything that is common about Hungary and Rome.

Mayor Gábor Demszky said that Aquincum is a cultural treasure of humankind. He added that the development project will be fully completed next year, when service areas and an elevator will be added to the new building.

According to fn.hu, a small group of anti-government protesters were present at the event displaying signs that read "SOS Margit Hospital," "Emergency in Óbuda" and "Health is not business." They did not disturb the opening ceremony and left the scene before it was over.
