Budapest Airport needs no more space
Budapest Airport Rt. will not buy additional land because it does not need any more space, CEO Chris Woodruff told Világgazdaság. So far the new owner, BAA, has not decided whether to outsource land services or the airport minibus service. Woodruff acknowledged that there is time pressure to lower the fees charged to airlines and to prepare for customs controls consistent with Hungary's eventual full membership of the Schengen Agreement. Joint marketing campaigns are also planned and Japanese airlines will be approached to launch flights to Budapest. The question of taxi permits has not yet been solved, Woodruff said. (VG p.8)
