Buda Castle to host Grand Prix "street parade"
Former Formula 1 star David Coulthard will be among the drivers taking to the makeshift "track" next Thursday.
Hungaroring Fest, a series of events to precede and coincide with the Hungaroring Formula One Grand Prix next weekend, will start with a street parade, organisers told the press on Tuesday.
The Red Bull Street Parade will be held on Thursday evening on a 3-kilometre winding track on picturesque Castle Hill of Buda with David Coulthard, former member of the McLaren and the Red Bull teams, and other excellent drivers in the field.
"We want to bring the world of Formula-One a little bit closer to the public and present fans with a memorable experience," Red Bull Hungarian Managing Director Attila Keszeg said.
The programme will be complete with a show by stunt-flying world champion Peter Besenyei.
The Red Bull Street Parade made its debut in Hungary three years ago. The latest show, which featured Formula One drivers Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Buemi, attracted 130,000 spectators to Szeged in May this year.
