Robbers got away with Ft 100 million after they disarmed and robbed a security guard outside the MOM Park shopping mall in Buda on Monday. The thieves are still at large, but were apparently wounded by gunfire from another security guard.

The robbery took place outside one of the entrances to the shopping centre shortly before 8 a.m. as one of the security guards was taking cash for the day into the mall. The other one stayed in the security van. Two men blocked the guard's way, pointed guns at him, then took his pistol and the bag with the cash before rushing to a Citroen parked in front of the security van.

As the other guard opened fire on the fleeing car, one of the thieves fled on foot. The getaway car was later found elsewhere in the 12th District, with traces of blood in the interior. The traces indicate that the man who had fled on foot got into the car later.
