Strike causes widespread delays at Budapest airport
Delays were reported at Budapest's international Ferihegy airport on Tuesday morning due to a strike, but flights have not been cancelled, airport spokesman Domokos Szollar told MTI.
Two unions of airport workers recommenced a strike on Monday, which originally started on December 10 and was suspended on December 22.
All scheduled flights took off from the airport on Monday morning, Szollar said.
Four security gates are expected to operate during the day, which means there will be no cancellations, only delays, Szollar added.
Budapest Airport asks passengers to arrive at the airport three hours in advance of their departure times.
