A Hungarian woman is among the 18 people killed when a hot air balloon exploded and crashed to the ground near Luxor, Egypt on Tuesday.

Only one foreign tourist and the Egyptian pilot survived the accident.

The Hungarian victim is a 34-year-old woman from Veszprém, the tabloid Blikk reported. She and her British companion both died in the accident.

Reports said the passengers jumped to the ground to escape the fire after the balloon erupted into flame at a height of 300 metres.
