Flu officially at epidemic level in Hungary
One-third of patients are children as outbreak crosses threshold.
The number of people diagnosed with influenza-type illnesses crossed the national epidemic threshold of 15,000 last week, the National Epidemiology Centre reported on Wednesday.
Doctors registered 16,700 patients with influenza symptoms between January 28 and February 3, 19% more than in the previous week.
One-third of the patients were children, and 7% were adults over 60.
